Plastic geocell cellular confinement system  is three dimensional , honeycomb like structures manufactured from high density polyethylene and jointly welded by ultrasonic technique . It is flexible to fold during the transport and installation on construction site . The geocell nets will be filled with soils , granular, cements or other on-site infill materials when stretched into web structures , which has powerful and rigid confinement in the lateral and vertical sides .

I. Soil Reinforcement Geocell Selection Principles

When people see complex data sheets of soil reinforcement grid rooms, even professional engineers can feel confused. In fact, there are too many specifications that drive us crazy. However, if you understand the principles we have summarised below, you can easily make a choice.

II. Slope

In the application of slope protection with soil reinforcement grid rooms, at least three factors need to be considered: slope, height of the soil reinforcement grid room, and welding distance of the soil reinforcement grid room.

For projects with a slope greater than 1:1, it is advisable to choose soil reinforcement grid rooms with greater height and smaller welding distance. (Recommended soil reinforcement grid room specification: 356-100-1.5mm)

For projects with a slope less than 3:1, soil reinforcement grid rooms with lower height and larger welding distance can be chosen. (Recommended soil reinforcement grid room specification: 712-100-1.5mm)

III. Subgrade Hardness

In road subgrade construction, the quality of the foundation conditions should be fully considered. Soil reinforcement grid rooms are very suitable for soft soil subgrades such as sandy roads because they can provide very noticeable three-dimensional constraints on their grids. Due to the high fluidity of sand, the damage to the subgrade stiffness is significant, so soil reinforcement grid rooms with high material strength, height, and friction should be selected. This way, the fluidity of soft soil can be completely restricted, ensuring the stability of the foundation.

In plain areas, road subgrades are relatively stable and firm, with higher foundation stiffness and lower flexibility. In this case, soil reinforcement grid rooms with smaller plate heights can be chosen for construction.
